BRIS - First half in, BSI scored 32.42% profit surge Bank Syariah Indonesia (BRIS) earnings grew 32.42% in the first half of 2023, proliferating from IDR2.13 tn to IDR2.82 tn. This achievement was made along with a revenue increase per semester. Based on the 1H23 Financial Report quoted today (19/9), the income from bank’s share in profit clocked up to IDR8.10 tn. It proliferated from IDR7.47 tn seen in the same period last year. The revenue is made up of sales of IDR6.16 tn, profit sharing of IDR2.80 tn, net ijarah of IDR63.92 tn, and other core businesses of IDR1.84 tn. For comparison, in the 1H22, the revenue from sales reached IDR5.49 tn, followed by profit sharing of IDR2.20 tn, ijarah of IDR22.07 bn, and other primary businesses of IDR1.66 tn. BRIS managed to gain operating profit of IDR3.73 tn in 1H23, increasing from IDR2.80 tn seen in the same period last year. Lastly, its comprehensive profit also grew from IDR2.24 tn to IDR2.90 tn.
