MIKA – Focussing on hospital capacity' expansion Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat (MIKA) is targeting double-digit growth in 2024, despite a 6.3% yoy decline in inpatient demand during 9M24 due to the temporary suspension of cashless payment systems by several insurance companies. MIKA will focus on expanding its hospital capacity. Currently, MIKA has eight land banks for building new hospitals, with two of them having already commenced groundbreaking in January 2024 and June 2024. The nearest hospital opening is scheduled for January 2025. In addition, MIKA is optimizing its services by adding 17 centers of excellence across various medical fields, including vascular, urology, orthopedics, and brain and spine specialties. MIKA is also entering oncology services by opening two radiotherapy centers and plans to add PET-CT and SPEC-CT facilities. Note that, MIKA recorded revenue of IDR3.61 tn (+14.5% yoy) and net profit of IDR872 bn (+27% yoy) in 9M24. (Source : Kontan)
