AMMN – The commissioning process will commence in June 2024 Amman Mineral International (AMMN) through its subsidiary, Amman Mineral Industri, is in the process of building a copper smelter and a precious metal refining facility. The construction of both, smelter and refining facility, are expected to complete in May 2024 and will commence the commissioning process in June 2024. Based on the results of the 3-month progress verification, the construction process of copper smelter has reached 76.1%, while the construction process of precious metal refining has reached 72.7%, in December 2023. Later, and after the smelter already operates, it is estimated that the total input capacity could reach around 900k ktpa of concentrate, which is sourced from the Batu Hijau mine and Eagle project. The product will be in the form of copper cathode around 222 ktpa and sulfuric acid around 830 ktpa. Furthermore, the PMR facility is expected to produce 18 tpa gold bars, 55 tpa silver bars and 70 tpa selenium. Moreover, AMMN has signed an agreement with Pertamina, in order to ensure the supply of more environmentally friendly energy sources, which is in the form of liquified natural gas (LNG) for gas, while the steam power plant, is currently under construction, in order to support the smelter operations.
