BREN – A proposal to PLN on developing geothermal' areas Barito Renewables Energy (BREN) through its subsidiary, Star Energy Group Holdings, has submitted a proposal to PLN for the joint development of the Kepahiang Geothermal Working Area (WKP) in Bengkulu. The 35,750 ha area has an estimated reserve of around 180 MW. Currently, the bidding process is still in the evaluation stage by PLN. If elected, BREN and PLN will form a JV and sign a contract on a geothermal exploration and energy conversion agreement cooperation scheme. (Source: Investor Daily)
