BWPT - Strong performance amidst challenges in 2024 Eagle High Plantations (BWPT) performed strong in 2024 amidst challenges in the palm oil industry, including climate change and El Niño’s prolonged drought effects. In 2024, the company' net profit surged 46.99% yoy to IDR260.21 bn, despite its revenue only grew 2.3% yoy to IDR4.30 tn. Thanks to its focus on operational efficiency, prudent financial management, and debt reduction, BWPT managed to lower its interest expenses by 15% yoy. Productivity improvements were evident, with Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) yield rising 8% yoy and oil extraction rate (OER) reaching 23.6% yoy. The company is set to expand further with a new palm oil mill and kernel crushing plant expected to be operational within 12–18 months. With 87,000 hectares of planted land across Kalimantan, Papua, and Sumatra, along with seven processing mills, BWPT continues to enhance efficiency through mechanization and digitalization, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth.
