TLKM - Inaugurates new DC in Lampung

TLKM - Inaugurates new DC in Lampung Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM) has introduced a new NeuCentrIX data center in Tanjung Karang, Lampung following previous inaugurations in Medan, Batam, Pekanbaru and Palembang. Despite being newly inaugurated, management claims that as much as 30% of total data center rack capacity has been filled up. The company manages 23 NeuCentrIX data centers under its belt thus far that spread out in 17 cities. (Source : Company) Comment : The inauguration of new data center in Sumatra, which is the fifth of its kind marks growing demand for data center. While TLKM's data center consolidation is still ongoing, we believe TLKM will be able to expand its domestic market share (currently at c. 40%), as it also aims to expand its hyperscale and enterprise data center under NeutraDC. Currently, data center remains nascent in the country reflected by very low penetration of c. 12% or at 0.6w/ capita, far cry behind Singapore at 183 w/capita, while internet penetration has reached above 70% of total population, indicating huge untapped potential market.
