Coal - India allows coal exports amid surplus India’s Information Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the government has permitted domestic coal exports as power plant stockpiles rise. Under the new policy, coal-fired power plants may export up to 50% of their allocations. The move comes as coal-based electricity generation in India weakens.
