EXCL - Plans to complete 3G shutdown by 2023

XL Axiata (EXCL) is planning to ramp up its 3G shutdown program, which is expected to complete next year. As of October, the number of 3G BTS has significantly been reduced to 1,900 units. On next year’s business plan, EXCL will put more focuses on network expansion, especially 4G networks. Meanwhile, the company has spent a IDR6.32tn in capitlized capex as of September 2022 out of IDR9 tn planned this year with total BTS number growing significantly to over 145,000 units in 2G and 4G.
