INKP – To construct new factory in Karawang

Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (INKP) plans to build an industrial paper mill and supporting facilities in Karawang, West Java with a total investment of USD3.63 bn or IDR57.1 tn. The total investment of USD3.63 bn will be used for land of USD16.54 mn, buildings of USD602.46 mn, and machinery and equipment of USD3.01 bn. INKP explained that 60% or USD2.16 bn of the required investment funds outside of land will be financed from a combination of long-term bank loans or issuance of bonds. The remaining 40% or USD1.44 bn will come from the company's own capital. Indah Kiat's industrial paper mill will be built on an area of 350 ha in Desa Mulyasari, Karawang. This industrial facility will have a production capacity of 3 mn tonne per year of white paper and 900K tonne per year of brown paper. (source : Investor Daily)
