KLBF – TB diagnostic test innovation

KLBF – TB diagnostic test innovation Kalbe Farma (KLBF) through KalGen DNA, has innovated a TB diagnostic test, namely INDIGEN which is a reagent kit for testing with the PCR method. By utilizing PCR machines that were previously available for covid-19 tests, INDIGEN can be implemented easily to expand the range of screening tests and will be the first open system in Indonesia. The INDIGEN pilot project is planned to be utilize in the TB active case discovery program in 12 cities spread across 7 provinces. INDIGEN reagent kits have obtained a distribution permit from the Indonesian Ministry of Health and have a domestic component level of 40.82%.
