PTBA – To continue its transformation in 2024

PTBA – To continue its transformation in 2024 Bukit Asam (PTBA) continue its transformation with innovation and business development to increase coal' adding value along with developing the technology in new and renewable energy. One of PTBA' efforts, is by collaborating with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and various universities in Indonesia to be able to create the latest innovations. PTBA also cultivates red kaliandra in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra. In order to support its performance, PTBA continue to execute several strategic projects such as; the Sumsel-8 Mine Mouth PLTU (2x621.72 MW), which the Commercial Operation Date has started since October 7, 2023. Note that, the PLTU uses a Supercritical Steam Generator and Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) technology to reduce exhaust emissions. Furthermore, PTBA and KAI have agreed on a cooperation framework for the development of coal transportation between Tanjung Enim Baru-Keramasan, on October 12, 2023.
