BIRD – IDR250 bn investment in IKN

BIRD – IDR250 bn investment in IKN Blue Bird (BIRD) plans to make a IDR250 bn investment, in order to develop the electric-based public transportation in IKN, which aligns with BIRD' 50:30 sustainability vision, targeting a 50% reduction in emissions and waste by 2030. The investment focuses on electric buses, taxis, rental cars, IKN-Balikpapan route buses, and smart infrastructure like stops, park and ride, transfer points, depots, and charging stations. It aims to pioneer eco-friendly transportation and will introduce up to 100 electric taxis, around 50 electric rental cars, up to 10 IKN-Balikpapan route buses, and various infrastructure elements to enhance mobility for IKN residents.
