BREN – Subsidiaries secure USD121.1 mn loan Barito Renewables Energy (BREN) announced that several of its subsidiaries, Star Energy Geothermal Pte Ltd (SEGPL), Star Energy Geothermal Netherlands BV (SEGNBV), and Star Energy Geothermal SEGSD BV (SEGSDBV), have secured USD121.10 mn in loan facilities through a Senior Secured Term Facility Agreement signed on 19 June 2025, with DBS Bank Ltd as the agent, and SMBC and DBS as the initial lenders and Green Loan Coordinators. Under the agreement, SEGPL and SEGNBV will receive Facility A loans totaling USD96.10 mn, while SEGSDBV will receive a Facility B loan of USD25 mn, both maturing on 18 June 2030. The loans will fund the capacity expansion of the Salak-Darajat Project through the retrofitting of geothermal Unit 3 at Star Energy Geothermal Darajat II Ltd. (Source : Kontan)
