KLBF – Continue to grow medical equipment' segment

KLBF – Continue to grow medical equipment' segment Kalbe Farma (KLBF) continues to boost revenue from its medical equipment segment by developing local assembly and production models through its subsidiary, Fosta Kalmedic Global. To grow this segment, KLBF is partnering with strategic partner for technology transfer, such as GE HealthCare Technologies, to produce CT Scan machines. In early June 2025, KLBF and GE HealthCare Technologies officially launched the CT Scan equipment, with a production facility located in Bogor, West Java. Previously, KLBF entered the surgical suture production business in December 2021. The company has also been manufacturing mobile X-ray machines, dialyzers, and sutures. Currently, KLBF is exploring a pipeline of products including ultrasound (USG), endoscopy, and hemodialysis machines. Note that, the medical equipment segment currently contributes about 5% to the company’s total distribution and logistics business.
