PGEO – Enhances geothermal potential with 3 drilling rigs Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGEO) is operating three drilling rigs in various wells to boost its geothermal resources. The aim is to increase the megawatt output, focusing on electricity generation, leveraging both conventional drilling and Co-Generation technology. PGEO plans to utilize previously untapped geothermal resources optimally. This effort could potentially raise PGEO's geothermal power generation capacity from its existing 672 MW in 2022 to 1.04 GW within two years, contributing to Indonesia's energy sector.
