Telco – Opensignal survey on Indonesia's mobile

Opensignal reports Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM) mobile arm, Telkomsel to be on pole position for download, upload, coverage and experience cateries. The survey, that carried out in February to May 2023, noted that Telkomsel managed to improve download speed by 4.4Mbps or 25.2%. This is also followed by Tri Hutchison with higher download speed of 15.3Mbps or 30.8% The report added that Telkomsel is the only Indonesia's mobile carrier scoring 58-68 for video, or characterized as od catery. (Source : Detik Inet) Comment : Telkomsel's lead on the survey is not surprising as the mobile carrier has been leading in telco market, thanks to its superior coverage and infrastructure. It is worth to underline though significant improvement seen for Tri Hutch has proven successful network integration with MOCN technology during consolidation with ISAT. This obviously will improve ISAT including Tri service quality, and therefore customer loyalty.
