TLKM - Eyes 1 mn FMC customers
Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM) is targeting to book 1mn new customers of FMC products that will be rolled out on July 21. Meanwhile, the company's Indihome customers stands at currently 9.2 mn customers. Following Indihome spin-off, the company is seeking to be focused on B2B segment. (Source : Bisnis Indonesia) Comment : We believe TLKM to be in pole position on FMC race, thanks to its superior fibre infrastructure. With its Indihome customers standing at c.9mn and superior coverage in second and third tier cities, TLKM is nowhere near its closest competitor, First Media and XL fibre with est. less than 1mn customers each and their presence that mostly in metropolitan areas. Convergence should boost operational efficiencies stemming from synergy. Additionally, FMC adoption could also lead to faster 5G implementation should the technology be deemed ready for roll out as it needs strong broadband to reduce latency.
