Anak usaha Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLKM), PT Telkomsel, telah membangun 9.696 menara pemancar BTS baru selama semester I 2014. Adapun sekitar 75% diantaranya adalah BTS 3G untuk mendukung bisnis digital. Hingga akhir Juni 2014, total BTS on air mencapai 79.560 atau tumbuh 27,9% dari tahun lalu.
